Eeeeep! Look at the cute owlie! I’m so happy with how this fella turned out. It’s Baby Plush’s birthday this week so I decided to make her something to cuddle. I fell in love with this pattern from Simplicity. There’s an owl, a fox, a bunny, a racoon and a reindeer. I’m going to try and do another but as her birthday on Saturday that might be a tad unrealistic so I reckon I have a Crimbley present all decided too!
The pattern was really easy to follow and took under 2 hours which included laminating all the pattern pieces so I can use them again.
I only made a couple of changes, I used fusible fleece in the wings and legs rather than lightly stuffing them as I figured the padding would be more even.
If you wanted to make your own version then the list is here:
Michael Miller Ta Dot Berry for the body
Dashwood Studios Enchanted Forest Snail for the legs
Fusible Fleece (optional)
Bondaweb for the appliqués
Felt scraps for the appliqués (equally your could just use cotton fabric)
Now I just need to decide which to make next… Racoon or rabbit? Racoon or rabbit? Then there’s the fox! Decisions, decisions!
Super impressed! Just ordered myself from your lovely shop. Cannot wait to get it!
Thank you Sue!
