A Rainbow Of Possibilities! Kona Fabric Guide

What is Kona fabric?

Kona is premium quality quilting cotton by Robert Kaufman and we believe it’s the quilter’s 1st choice when choosing fabrics for their projects!

How many colours of Kona fabric are there?

There’s a huge 365 colours to choose from and we stock every single one! We are unaware of any other brands that offer such a spectrum of colour in their solids collections.

Can I buy pre-cut Kona fabrics?

Yes! We sell Robert Kaufman ‘Roll Ups’ which are 40 strips of fabric measuring 2.5” by 44”, which some of you may know as ‘Jelly Rolls’.

How wide is Kona solid fabric?

Kona Cotton Solids are 110cm (44”) wide, however we also sell Kona extra wide which is 275cm (108”) wide.

What is Kona Premium?

Kona Premium is a little more luxurious as it’s 100% cotton and approximately 200gsm in weight, perfect for dressmaking and quilting.

What can I make with Kona Fabrics?

Looking for inspiration? There’s a tremendous library of free quilt patterns on the Robert Kaufman website. We also sell the ‘Postcards from Sweden’ quilt kit which includes a whole rainbow of Kona fabrics to make a 60” x 75” quilt, all you need to add is wadding, backing and binding.

Where can I buy Kona Fabric?

Here at Plush Addict, we sell every shade of Kona fabric as fat quarters or by the metre and there’s a handy yard converter on our website if you’re not sure how many metres you need.

Also if you’re worried about colour matching, we offer a handy service where our warehouse staff can help match your fabrics and threads to make your project perfect, so you can buy online with confidence. Alternatively you can come visit the warehouse and shop in person, just book an appointment on our website.
